An introduction to international e-commerce

This short practical session and subsequent Q&A session will help businesses to recognise the opportunities and challenges associated with using e-commerce as their route to market, allowing them to make informed strategic decisions that will optimise their operations and investments.

• Date: 23 August 2022

• Time: 11:00 to 12:00 (BST)

The fourth in a series of events in collaboration with ExportSavvy, this short interactive session will look at international e-commerce – its benefits, its challenges, and whether it might be the right route for your business.

E-commerce has opened a whole new world of possibilities for small and medium-sized businesses to trade in international markets and many ventures are now using this channel to export their goods or services.

However, if companies are to make the most of e-commerce in overseas markets, then they will need to ‘think internationally’ – this involves some key considerations.

"I have taken on board so many points you have raised, and we have started implementing changes this week. It was good to clear my overactive mind and wake up and smell the coffee!” Leila Conley – The Print Fragrancing Company Ltd

"Many thanks for the great workshop.  I will endeavour to go through everything and get things moving. I have already removed the dead/slow items from my website and amended the home page wording slightly.” Graham Somerville – MD – BHI Ltd
