By 2030, Asia is forecast to contribute 60% of global economic growth. At present, Asia is home to 4.7 billion people, equivalent to 60% of the world’s population, and is forecast to grow to 5.3 billion people by 2055. The world economy is expected to add 2.4 billion new members to its ever-growing middle-class, of which 90% will come from Asia Pacific. This will result in a correlating growth in food and drink consumption, with Asian consumers expected to double their spending on food by 2030, presenting tangible growth opportunities for UK food and drink brands.
To help UK food and drink companies access opportunities in the region, Santander are pleased to collaborate with in-market experts to host Asia food and drink month – a series of webinars (see below) followed by the option of a bespoke 1:1 session for brands to assess opportunities with our specialist providers from the relevant markets.
