We’re offering UK businesses in the Renewable Energy sector the chance to explore opportunities in the Latin America and the Caribbean markets. Alongside the Department for International Trade (DIT), we’re delighted to invite you to participate in one of a series of four roadshows across the UK.

The Latin American and Caribbean (LATAC) region hosts one of the most exciting markets for UK renewable energy companies, with over 25% of primary energy coming from renewable sources. Brazil and Mexico lie at the forefront of this fast-growing market: in 2016, renewable sources were responsible for 43.5% of the installed energy capacity in Brazil, representing 125.3 MTep. As for Mexico, in 2017, 21.08% of electricity was generated from clean energy sources (69,396.16 GWh). Installed clean energy capacity reached 22,327.40 MW, which represents 29.5% of national installed capacity. By 2024, electricity generated from clean energy sources must reach 35%.
