Meet the Buyer: Medical Devices in Brazil

In recent years, the Medical Device/Equipment market has grown at an exponential rate, and Brazil's market for these products potentially offers considerable opportunities for UK manufacturers and service providers. Brazil, being South America's largest economy, spends roughly 9.1% of its GDP on healthcare. A total of 63% of the approximately 6,642 hospitals are private.

Healthcare has been driven by innovation and new technology, particularly technical breakthroughs that have led to the launch of high-tech medical equipment. 
Trends and categories of particular interest are:

  • Clinical chemistry, biomedical, and advanced medical devices – high demand for new technologies.
  • Laboratory equipment – investments in R&D, including some duties and registration exemptions.
  • Disposables and surgical – high consumption by private and public hospitals.
  • Diagnostic devices and monitoring equipment – high demand for innovative products.
  • Orthopedics and Implants – high demand of imported products, despite higher sanitary requirements.
  • Health IT – demand in hospitals, including education, telemedicine, big data, and integration systems.
  • Dental – Brazil has one of the highest numbers of dentists in the world.

This ‘meet the buyer’ event will take place in three stages:

  • Stage 1 – our market entry providers will evaluate each applicant/product to determine the potential interest levels among distributors and retailers.
  • Stage 2 – here you will have to share your sales deck. These will then be sent to the buyers and we will collate feedback and present responses to each manufacturer.
  • Stage 3 – we will facilitate virtual meetings between the manufacturer and buyer allowing you to have in-depth discussions with decision makers

We will support you throughout the whole process and different stages to ensure that presentations and meetings have the maximum impact for your business.

This event requires pre-approval to attend to ensure that your products/services meet the relevant demand and/or criteria. This event is free for Santander Navigator subscribers, while for non-subscribers we’re offering a post-launch discounted charge of £250 to attend this meet the buyer event. Payment will only be taken once we have confirmed your place with the buyer/provider.
