For companies in the Defence, Aerospace, and Security sector, it’s even more imperative to align manufacturing capabilities/supply chain operations to future markets. Within Asia, India offers a unique opportunity both as a manufacturing location and as a large market looking to modernise and upgrade its assets.

With the third highest defence spending in the world, India is embarking on a major defence, aerospace, and maritime upgrade with a focus on ‘Make in India’ and is already attracting international companies, including aerospace and defence giants BAE, Rolls-Royce, and MBDA, to make India a key part of their global manufacturing operation. Defence exports from India jumped 334% in the last five years and this trend is set to continue going forwards, with both public and private sector enterprises contributing to this manufacturing renaissance.
